The island nation of Kiribati is made up of 32 atolls and one raised coral island dispersed over 3,500,000 square kilometres of ocean. Associate Professor Tony Whincup has been a sometime resident and constant visitor to Kiribati over the past 25 years and has produced a celebrated body of photo-ethnographic practice.
