Welcome

Last week Massey University celebrated the outstanding achievements of teachers, researchers and alumni. The annual Defining Excellence Awards Gala Dinner was held in Wellington on Wednesday night. Congratulations must go to our teaching and research recipients as well as those alumni who received awards: Sir Graham Henry, Stephen Jennings, Sue Suckling (pictured right), Dennis Oliver and Luke Di Somma, read more.

March also saw us have a large presence at the Central Districts Field Days in Fielding. An alumni and friends event took place on the Friday night which was co-hosted by the young farmers and the Vice-Chancellor was Master of Ceremonies for 4 short cameos on Precision Agriculture and Better Treatment for animals, we will be doing something similar for National Fieldays in Hamilton on June 14.

Massey Magazine is due out in May, so if you have moved house in the past year, or haven’t received it for a while please email us your most recent postal address to alumni@massey.ac.nz and we will deliver it to you anywhere in the world.

Each year we are told of a number of reunions, and others organised by the University, we would love to know if you are planning one alumni@massey.ac.nz. This year Massey saw 25 years of Aviation and 2013 will see us celebrate 50 years of Vet, so watch this space for more details.

Take care
